Harvest 2024
Posted on: 01/10/2024
The week beginning 14th October 2024, we will be celebrating Harvest at Mulgrave.
During this week, we will be reflecting on our Mulgrave’s values of Kindness and Collaboration.
We will reflect on the importance of showing kindness towards others that are less fortunate than ourselves.
To support our values, the charity we have chosen to collaborate with this half term is ‘Greenwich Food Bank’.
This is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area.
We have had an amazing response in previous years and we hope that you will be able to repeat this generosity and kindness again.
We would like to encourage children to donate an item of food towards this charity.
There are particular items that the project urgently need and in order to get a variety of donations we are asking particular key stages to donate certain items, as listed below:
Reception – tea/tinned fruit/tinned custard/long life semi-skimmed milk/rice/bars of soap
Years 1 and 2 –coffee/baked beans/tinned vegetables (carrots/peas/sweetcorn) /jam/long life juice/chocolate/washing up liquid
Years 3 and 4 – bottled Squash /tinned tomatoes /tinned fish/sugar/chocolate spread/dry noodles/biscuits/shampoo and hair conditioner
Years 5 and 6– tinned meat/ hot chocolate/tinned rice pudding/honey/jars of pasta sauce/sweets/laundry powder and capsules
