Science
At Mulgrave our vision is to provide a science curriculum which enables pupils to explore and discover the world around them, so that they have a deeper understanding of the world we live in. We do this through exciting, practical, hands on experiences, which encourage curiosity and foster learning.

Primary Science Quality Mark
We are really pleased to announce that the Primary Science Quality Mark has awarded us the Gilt Award, for our amazing science across the school. This was a challenging award to gain, however, due to the children's and staff's continued enthusiasm and drive for science we achieved this in 2019. We collected our Primary Science Quality Mark at Collins Publishers in London Bridge. We had an amazing evening and had the opportunity to meet some great people such as Dr Maggie Pocock from the BBC – The sky at night.

VR day
On 26th September 2019, the children took part in VR day. The theme was space, where children were encouraged to use recycled materials to create a space themed costume. There was an amazing turn out, with children across the school creating some fantastic and very imaginative costumes. One child from each year grop won a prize for the best costume. Children from years 4 - 6 also had the opportunity to take part in a forensic science workshop, investigating who from a line up had committed the crime.
